I'd love to draft Celebrini but I'm okay with anything in the top 3-5 this year. I'm really intrigued with Levshunov and Lindstrom. I think either of them could be future cornerstones.

Celebrini sux. If we get the 1st overall pick, we should just trade it to DET for the negotiating rights to Patrick Kane.

Obviously we have the best odds at celebrini at the moment but if were not picking 1st I think Levshunov will be the guy. Cant see the front office looking past his size/skill combo.

I would not be opposed to Levshunov, but when I think about who is available and what CHI needs, Demidov and Lindstrom make much more sense. Especially when you consider the depth of RHD in this draft, we should be able to snag a very exciting RD with the TBL pick, another possible 1st if we trade up into the 1st for a third pick, or even with a 2nd round pick. And we still have Murphy for two more years and Jones for 6 more. Crevier has shown flashes and could still turn into a decent third pairing guy, Connor Kelley is having a great senior year and could get an ELC, and Rinzel is looking like the real deal. Plus, we have a few interesting LHD who can play both sides. We don't really need to go out and get a #1D right now. Also, I've watched quite a bit of Levshunov this year, and he is great, but I think there are a lot more holes in his game than his stat line might have us believe. But, again, if they pick him there, I wouldn't be opposed and I totally get it.

All good points, I think especially the emergence of Rinzel as a legit guy for both minnesota and usa hockey shows maybe were a bit deeper on RHD than the org would have thought a few months ago. I'd be fine with a high end forward in the top 5 if thats the bpa, Lindstrom and Demidov both look nasty. Should be an interesting draft after Celebrini, its pretty rare theres so little consensus for who should go 2.

Definitely. Could still be Eiserman, too. That scoring ability is undoubtedly elite, but he is gonna have a lot of work to do to round out his game if he doesn't want to be a liability when he goes pro. When you score that often, it can't be a fluke. But at the same time, I don't see a lot of offense that would work in the NHL, in my viewings.

I think if the draft is today (based on today's rankings and no funny business with the lottery)

San Jose takes Celebrini (because duh)
Chicago takes Helenius (highest ceiling left not Russian)
Anaheim takes Leshunov (best RHD, seems like a Verbeek guy)
Columbus takes Silayev (because Werenskinis too fragile to be a #1 guy)
Ottawa takes Lindstrom (need to be tougher to play against at forward)
Montreal takes Eiserman (need more elite talent up front)
Minnesota takes Demidov (can afford to wait and good history with Russians)
