I feel really bad for you guys because I thought your team was going to get closer this year, maybe start turning the corner. Improve the D and hope Levi pans out soon. But, yeah, this sort of stuff is just hopelessly outlandish.

Levi's numbers are deceptively better than people think. His numbers since December are top 30 in the league, which is fine for a rookie back up. His overall numbers are weighted down by the slow start. Their goalies weren't the issue. Their top 6 was, mostly due to injuries as well as their PP disappearing

Luukkonen has been brick wall in during the 8 games he has played in January posting a .944 SV% and 1.52 SV%.
Mittelstadt, Casey => Colton, Ross plus Wood, Miles
The balance:
Okposo, Kyle
Jokiharju, Henri
Krebs, Peyton
Kulich, Jiri
2024 2nd round pick (BUF) appears it will be in 40 OA or better.
Over all they have more value than
Byram, Bowen

Buffalo is trading the better center and GK, it's best forward prospect and an early 2nd for Colton who was just picked up for the 37th OA, Wood who essentially let go by the Devils, a sub NHL GK and a good LHD they do not need.
Byrum may be a good LHD but Buffalo has others better than he, while Buffalo has to trade its best RHD in the deal.
Buffalo would be adding at least a year to the rebuild if they made this trade, losing their best center, GK, prospect and RHD.
Horrible for the Sabres.
I understand that Wood and Colton are physical but Mittelstadt's offense would more than compensate.
Rip me apart if wish, I am done with this post.
