what is the point of the drafting if you dont have a spots for any of the prospects ?

At 2.1 AAV for a guy who scored 40 points in his 2 previous seasons, we absolutely accept.

With the cap rising, even if he is more of a 30 point guy thats still a great contract for us

taking off the Dvorak contract can help in the long run, and for the moment our prospects are not yet ready ... so 1 or 2 years of Gaudreau until Beck is ready can fill the jersey, gain value, and offer a pick or a prospect when needed. If we decide to trade him..

IDK what players you are talking abouy since MTL have zero significative center prospect. Even Beck has a bottom 6 ceiling at most.

No clue why MIN fans want to trade us Gaudreau all the time, but at that price, we would take him in a heart beat.
