Flames fans have to get over thinking the Devils will be their suckered for drastically overpaying for Hanifan. The Devils wouldn't be smart to extend him fo his next ask. The retention means nothing as the Devils have tons of room once they officially go over and put Hamilton on LTIR.

I wouldn’t be against the Dallas deal if they take Dadonov and Faksa. They have plenty of cap space to work with. Stars prolly add a prospect not named Bourque, Stankoven, or Bichsel. Stars gave up a first for Nils and you can’t convince me he isn’t worth that even with his struggles for consistency. There’s a good player there. Just needs some confidence
