Why bother? Niemela isn't better than anything the Jets already have and as a 3rd round pick is unlikely to ever have an impact in the NHL and trading a guy isn't as easy as just saying it, or Toronto would have dumped him already.

Just keep the depth and cap space and use it for something the Jets need rather than helping out another team.

The idea is to add depth at the TDL not give it away for pieces you have no use for.
