Anaheim is used for cap space. Probably have to add some picks to make up for Salary retention but the players fit.

I don't think Calgary is getting enough value, or assets they desire.

Hanifin's value is going to be less than Lindholm but in the same ballpark. Grzelxyk, Poitras, and a first is probably closer to what Hanifin will get than this package.

Greer is basically out for the rest of the season, and I don't see him getting traded. If a team wanted him they could likely have him for a third or fourth round pick.

B's don't have much in the way of future, and not enough to make this work

I know. I don’t think a trade is going to happen.
This package probably works for someone like the New York Rangers, Carolina, Florida or Devils who have assets.

And Anaheim somehow gets Poitras instead of Calgary? LOL

Flames turn this down cold, they give up the best player (Hanifin) and don't even get the best prospect (Poitras) in a pitiful return. If Boston wants Hanifin it's going to take Poitras or Lohrei and more. No Calgary won't be throwing in Greer for free either, in fact we shouldn't trade him because we need his grit.

If Boston wants Hanifn, they wait until the offseason and sign him outright. Lots of reasons and noise on that being a likely scenario. I could see a scenario where Boston offers Lohrei, Merkulov, Grz, and a second for Hanifin and retention of a minimum slot to remove the risk of him signing elsewhere.

Boston giving up Poitras for Henrique would be one of the dumbest deals you can put together. Henrique is a good player, but come on. No way that is happening
