TDL moves 3

Created by: JTBF81
Team: 2023-24 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 1, 2024
Published: Feb. 4, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tampa addresses a couple of areas here(top 6/9 winger and an upgrade at RD). Sheary would have to agree to waive his ntc of course, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker.

Don’t see why the Oilers do this. If they are replacing a LD to save cap space it would be replacing Kulak and they are likely just going to bring up Broberg, Niemelainen, Gleason, or Dineen. If they are replacing a RD they are probably sending Ceci somewhere and need a second pairing minutes guy. I guess what I am saying is that De Hann just doesn’t fit the Oilers needs right now.

I had seen a couple agms where De Haan went to Edmonton in this value range, so that's why I did it here. If he's not a fit, no problem. Tampa can move him elsewhere or if needed l, just waive him.

Can't say I'm a fan of moving Perbix lately, he's been super stable now when we need him to be. If there's an odd d-man out with the addition of Walker it would probably be Raddysh. Do like the idea of doing De Haan a service and sending him to a contender, though as mentioned above I think the Oilers might go a different way. Vegas has got some injuries on the defense, could try shipping him there?

Unfortunately discussions would stop right then and there because TB needs to ship Sheary out for the cap space to make anything here really work.

well than that's as far as it goes because there is no way the penguins are taking him back.
They been there done that. He's not a solution.

Raddysh has been far better than Perbix for awhile now, especially offensively. Despite Perbix's +/-, he's looked the shakiest of the regular dmen(aside from CDH), and so if Tampa could upgrade with someone like Walker, Fabbro, Lyubushkin etc, moving Perbix is acceptable. Sheary could also in theory go elsewhere or, if absolute worst case, Tampa could still waive him. If he's unclaimed, they could still acquire Smith and just roll with 21. I doubt that happens, but Smith is the type of add that would be of interest to JBB(fills a middle 6 winger need, has term, and fits cap wise w/retention). I guess if Tampa is okay with the 2nd line remaining as is with Hagel/Stamkos-Cirelli-Paul, then they could focus on a upgrade at 3C instead.with maybe Novak or Dowd.
    Brolekb2b liked this.
