I’d rather give up othmann than Kakko. Duclair is meh and Kakko on the 3rd line would be a pain to play again

My preference is to have someone with retention next year if we're giving up Kakko. Whether ANA does it or a 3rd team, send off another pick or prospect to get some retention on Vatrano. I think it's a missed opportunity otherwise. Other than that, it looks good, but in general I think more needs to be added to the ANA trade even before we talk about retention. A B-tier prospect like Sykora, etc. Ducks fans on here don't want any of our defensemen, so stick with a forward prospect.

Anaheim likely sells Henrique and Vatrano separately so we get get 2 2024 1sts plus out of it

Both Seravalli and Pagnotta said that Detroit is the front runner for Frank Vatrano. I doubt he's going to the Rangers.

They actually said he hates Detroit and thinks the Yzerplan stinks. /s Not a bad replacement for Perron/Kane

laugh Sure they did, It's too bad that Vatrano has no say where he goes, Since he doesn't have a NMC/NTC.

And oh FYI Rangers only have 5 more points then Detroit. And Detroit is winning and the Rangers have been declining.

We don't want any of your LEFT shot defensemen, were open to discussing right shot, but they also need to have actual NHL upside, unlike that undersized 25 year old tearing the AHL up

Besides Schneider, who should be untouchable, we just don't have any relevant RD. Unless there's someone I'm missing

We have Mac Hollowell who is 5 foot 9, and this dude. Only 2 RHD in the system on CapFriendly

Yeah, Holloway was the guy I was referencing. As recently as last year I thought NYR was loaded with RHD, did a lot of them not work out or something? I know you guys traded that kid to Dallas but that was it.

I could be wrong, but in recent years I think it's mostly been LD. We had Libored Hajek who didn't work out but think he's with the PIT organization, Yegor Rykov who is gone, then Robertson and Jones now. Before we had the RD Lundkvist who went to Dallas but he's small, too, and now Schneider. I couldn't think of any other RD, just those 2 were battling for the 3RD
