1.
MTL
  1. 2024 6th round pick (VGK)
VGK
  1. Pearson, Tanner ($1,625,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Possible three-way deal where Pearson’s salary is retained again by a third party to bring his salary down to $812,500. Vegas would give this third party team their own 7th round pick in 2024. So, in total the deal would look like this:

MTL:
2024 6th (VGK)

VGK:
Tanner Pearson at 25% salary

Third Party Team:
2024 7th (VGK)
2.
MTL
  1. Campbell, Jack
  2. Holloway, Dylan
  3. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
  4. 2025 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
2025 1st is top-5 protected
EDM
  1. Allen, Jake
Additional Details:
A lot of the assets are just for dumping Campbell’s contract. Edmonton hasn’t been able to use Holloway in their lineup as much as other teams could, so I could see them dealing him to get rid of Campbell. This gives Edmonton more cap space now and in the future, and Montreal will use a buyout on Campbell’s contract. As for the rest of his season, they’ll loan him to an AHL team in need of another goalie on their roster, since Laval has Dobes, Mann, and Kaskisuo. If an injury occurs to Primeau or Monty, then Campbell would be the likely call-up
3.
MTL
  1. Johnson, Kent
  2. Peeke, Andrew
Additional Details:
Ylönen is a good young player, but he doesn’t really have a role in the future of the Canadiens lineup with all of the youth coming up and the fact he doesn’t get top-6 minutes as it is right now over some other options. Flipping the Edmonton or Winnipeg 1st for a young player is something I can see Kent Hughes doing, and another good young center in Johnson, who’s not getting much of an opportunity in Columbus for some reason, could be a fit. As for trading Peeke, the Blue Jackets have an overly loaded blueline, and with Savard likely being dealt by Montreal, I could see them wanting a RHD in a deal that’s locked up for a few years and can play at least 2nd pair minutes
CBJ
  1. Ylönen, Jesse
  2. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
4.
MTL
  1. Boyd, Travis ($875,000 retained)
  2. 2024 4th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Part of a 3-way deal with Dallas
5.
MTL
  1. Faksa, Radek
  2. 2024 1st round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
This trade is a bit of a whopper. Montreal has so many defensemen, and Hutson coming in soon, that problem won’t necessary be helped. Montreal trades two defenders that may not be part of their future with this team. Sending Harris to Arizona gives him a better opportunity to strive with more minutes. They get a 4th from Arizona, as well as the Coyotes retaining on Boyd since Montreal can’t retain anymore and they’d want to flip him to Dallas. Why would Dallas need a 4C if they have Faksa? Faksa is a good 4th line center, but $3.25M for a 4C is rich. For Dallas to get what they need in a RHD like Davis Savard, they’d have to send Faksa’s salary the other way. But then they’d need a replacement for him, and that’s where Boyd comes in. I feel like the overall idea of this trade is a good one, thought the value may not be perfect, I don’t think it’s that far off

Not even close for Kent Johnson, Columbus passes.

Sorry but Ken Holland isn't giving up 3 equivalent 1st round picks to move jack Campbell for jake Allen. That trade is extremely bad for Edmonton.

Can't see Columbus considering that, even with you doing them the favor of taking Peeke's contract.

KJ has a way higher ceiling and and has been a lot more impactful for them since the AHL stint. A late 1st doesn't make up the difference there and Columbus has no incentive to move him in the first place.

Kent Johnson is my #1 target but it’ll take a lot more than that.

More like WIN 1st + CGY 1st + Mesar and maybe Barron.
