Seems a bit of an overpay for Kaliyev, but I'll take it.

Huge overpay for Kaliyev.
Maybe for Ylonen straight up, or 3rd and Farrell.

Again TB has no cap space for nor interest in Savard . https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/lightning. I know this shows 8.59 mil projected cap space , however that's with Sergachev in LTIR and according to Dave Mishkin this afternoon Sergachev will be back against NYR tomorrow night. Which means TB has ,95k

Columbus has no reason to move Johnson, and Montreal has no real reason to offer it.

It makes perfect sense for Montreal to offer, doesn't make sense for Columbus though. Cause Montreal needs young forward talent.

Look at Huuhtanen stats and size. He is a talented goal scorer in Liiga and WHL.

Look at Drouin, he had 100 point season in the Q and 2 50 point seasons in the NHL still wouldn't trade Savard and Evans for him. It's gonna take a 2nd + 3rd to get Savard and probably another 3rd for Evans, value wise you can trade a 2nd + 2 3rds at the draft for a pick in the 15-20 OVA range would you trade 15th-20th OVA for Huuhtanen?!

? what even is this take? peak drouin coming off of the 100 point seasons in the Q and 2 50 point seasons in the NHL was worth way more than Savard and Evans and then declined precipitously. Drouin was an outlier case, you cant be comparing other prospects numbers to his. Huuhtanen is worth a late first to a high second right now. He won liiga rookie of the year last year and is currently top 10 in scoring in the league at 20 years old while bringing a big physical presence. But if for some reason you dont value prospects very much then tampa will gladly take owen beck for a 5th.

The comparison was more to get the point across that just cause someone is doing well in the minors or even in a pro league overseas, doesn't mean they will do well when they make the jump. If Huuhtanen is so good, why haven't Tampa brought him over yet? It's not like he is in the KHL, Liiga has a transfer agreement in place. Also I never said I don't value prospects, I just asked if the commentor would trade 15th to 20th OVA for him, I am sorry you got butt hurt over the question

obviously just because someone does well in the minors doesnt mean it will translate into the NHL, but that risk is built into the asset evalutation of prospects and picks already. Huuhtanen hasnt been brought over yet because the lightning like to prolong the development of players, hence why drouin got pissy and left. Also you got butthurt over the original proposal of the trade so I was just matching your energy

I just don't agree with trading good assets for longshots, there is a reason every team passed on Huuhtanen 6 times and he was one of the last players selected in the draft. Maybe he has matured enough to be worth a later 1st, maybe he hasn't, his game obviously still has warts though cause Tampa could really use good cheap help and they still aren't calling him up. I am willing to bet his stock hasn't risen as much as you think, otherwise every GM around the league would be calling up Tampa and trying to acquire him. I am not saying he isn't a good or even great prospect, I am just saying that I personally wouldn't take the risk of him not ending up another Puljujarvi

huuhtanen isnt considered a "long shot" anymore. When he was first drafted as the last pick in the entire draft he was definitely a long shot but now he is arguably the 1st or 2nd best prospect in the liiga. He dropped so far because his skating was an issue but it has since progressed to a level that it doesnt impact his play too much. Again tampa doesnt bring guys up until they are 21/22 yrs old or if they are dominating in a younger league like the NCAA/ CHL. Huuhtanen will probably get a contract over the summer and play in syracuse next season or if he has a good camp could possibly make the team. Also the TDL isnt here yet so he might be dealt at the deadline or he might not be, it depends on how much JBB values him. There is just as much risk in acquiring huuhtanen as there would be in any other prospect of his caliber. The comparable would be if I said that I wouldnt want to trade for Joshua Roy just because he was drafted in the 5th round but he has obviously improved a lot since then.
