Description
Sergy is done for the year sadly

Tampa can't afford to let one of the few years we have left slip past us.

Who cares what future assets we give up it would be worse to miss this years playoffs and not Geta top 10 pick then let Chicago draft another stud using our picks while we watch the playoffs with them. Chychruns money could make the offseason interesting but this reminds me of the depth we had when Mac was here.

Tarasenko is a add in to the deal, get a forward that could help pot a few goals

Steeler is a add in so deehan doesn't need to play massive minutes

Hathaway is a good bottom 6 guy that could bring some energy to the team

I'd imagine the Sens would say no to that. They could get more in separate Vlad and Jake deals

If I understand the first rounder is for Tarasenko . So Howard ,Emonds and a 3 rounder for Chychrun. The sens will pass on it

only reasons the sens would trade chychrun would be to address a deficiency at another position, or because the value is too good to pass up. I dont think this trade is either of these things for us. Tarasenko @ 50% retention is also not just a throw-in player, hes been really good this year and will have a market

I said add in not throw in Ik he's been good, I'm not sure there's much more Tampa could give unless u switch in jack Thompson or move the 3rd to a 2nd

gotta think getting a package like this is somewhat fair, chycrun for Howard and 1st and then Tarasenko for a 3rd Id be willing to give more for him tho

I think It would have to be centered around Thompson & a 1st and even then I'm not sure the sens take it. If it was a 2024 1st it might be doable but 2026 really doesn't do much for us given how far away that prospect would be. Id part with Tarakseno on top of that for a 2nd at half retention though, im not sure he will get a 1st in return

Tarasenko's getting a heck of a lot more than a 3rd though, my dude. Monahan and Lindholm just got traded and set the market for sellers, plus Tarasenko just last year fetched a 1st + at a similar cap hit and similar PPG. He'll get a 2nd + prospect/other pick at the very least, and if there's any sort of bidding war you can expect that to be a 1st instead.

So it's more like a 1st for Tarasenko, and then Pens would need an additional 1st + Howard + more to even think of acquiring Chychrun.
