Neither the Anaheim front office nor the Anaheim fanbase wants Trevor Zegras out; even if Verbeek did want to trade him, he wouldn't do so when Z's value would never be lower. Where do you people GET these lunacies?

He’s a 22 year old center with two 60pt seasons under his belt. Yes, quite obviously, he has very high value. For comparison, Othmann, who is a very exciting prospect, is already 21 years old with 0 NHL points in 3 games. Imagine how you’d be thinking about Othmann if:
1. He already had a 60pt NHL season last year
2. He was on pace for another 60 this year
3. He did all that playing C, not LW

Please help me understand why that wouldn’t be worth a whole hell of a lot.

And on your comment that we want him gone.. I challenge you to back that up on anything other than media rumoring. The fans love him, the coach has been lauding him all year long (including this past week), and he’s best friends with half the locker room. No, we don’t want him gone. The same reporter that announced that Gibby played his last game in ANA rumors that Verbeek has listened to offers and all of a sudden it’s just a given that he’s being forced out. Sorry, but that’s a garbage source to assume we want him out.
