lol, when did Allen become good? needless to say really good to get a first.

He’s the best goalie with the best contract out there. 2 playoff runs with no risk of needing to buy out.

Reports like how the Canes have pulled out of the goalie market since Freddie is coming back, or the outdated reports Carolina were only going to enter the market for a starting netminder? Get lost. Keep Allen, and this is a ridiculous amount to ask for for Allen

Cue up Allen to be the next player that the commentariat here is shocked at the return we got for him.

When you get a 6th for him from Toronto remember how bad this trade is

Columbus will not retain 13 million for a first. That retention alone is probably worth a 1st + 2nd, not to mention getting Laine himself.

It’s $8.7mm total. In case you hadn’t noticed, he’s not the same player. And right now you’re paying him $8.7mm annual salary to not play.

Who are your goalies next year?

Sam Errson and whatever free agent they choose to sign. Plus we have 3 prospect goalies that are looking good for the future.

What recent history do you have of the Hughes completing trades for weak returns?

There are multiple goalies I'd rather have as a free agent than spending a 3rd on Primeau. Errson has been great as a rookie and we will have Kolosov in the AHL next season. You can believe in your fantasy land that someone will give you value for Primeau, I'm just telling you it's not going to be Philly.

Sam Ersson, he's only been a top 10-15 goalie since mid-November as a rookie. After him the depth chart is Peterson, Sandstrom, Kolosov (playing well in KHL), and Fedotov (playing well in KHL)

they don't even need a FA goalie. between Peterson/Kolosov/Sandstrom/Fedotov they'll be fine

(if Fedotov does not comply to his contract they still do not need one)

I don't disagree, they don't need a free agent but I think they will just so they don't run the young guys into the ground. Honestly I'd be looking at the guy they faced in their last game. I'd love to see Stoly back in black and orange.

    Anaheim needs help everywhere.

Literally the place Anaheim doesnt need help with is young LHD

    Mintyukov
    Zellweger
    Lacombe
    Vaakenianen
    Hinds

And thats before Prospects drafted this past year, or Cam Fowler being on the team for two more years after this. Its already causeing Lacombe to be pushed to his offhand which is the problem Harris is already having.

Maybe Florida or LA would be better spots. Possibly the Wild as well

With the exception of goalie, LD, and C. He’s not getting game time over any of Fowler, Mintyukov, Lacombe or Zellweger. Move him for a 2nd sure, but ANA definitely wouldn’t be the buyer
