I'll say it again jets don't need a depth dman they need a top 4/6 dman that can push schmidt to be the depth dman

Rangers don’t need picks, they need RWs lol

Either add Slaf or stop trading for Kakko

Slafs is already (nearly) pacing Kakko's production (and he's not that far behind Lafreniere either). He's also trending up while Kakko is trending down.
Kakko may well recover and eventually become a top 6 producer, but at this moment his value is low and doesn't even approach that kind of return in a trade.

Kovacevic's underlying numbers have been unreal this year. He is definitely an upgrade on Schmidt. For a 5th rounder this would be a great add for the bottom pair.

I think if teams appreciate his analytics he could go for a 2nd+, but he doesn't have the name value that Tanev or even Walker have.

Interesting proposal to NJD. Just not sure RyJo is fast enough to be a fit. Would rather have evans instead. Evans for Vanacek+2nd I'd do

I love Evans too much. It’s not a crazy ask though.

I think Evans could be in a role similar to what McLeod was for us prior to this year.

PKs, Faceoffs, defensive 4C. Not much in the way of offense but you live with it.

I think he even puts up decent points given stable linesmates.

Nosek-Evans-Lazar would be the line he'd be on. Don't see them putting up a lot of points but that's okay

🤣 not a Dreger fan. TSN did report that though. Makes sense to me. Rangers didn’t want to use the first for Lindholm or Monahan.
Whether it’s narrative or not, it says something. Rangers have other things they can do before dealing their first.

And Larry Brooks disputed it lol

I always find him great with Gallagher. I want to see the two of them together with a fast skating playmaking left winger. Newhook might be the guy.

That could be interesting but I'd imagine newhook gets put in a C role when he comes back bc of the lack of other options rn

Tarasenko at half salary to the Rangers for a 2nd. 1st line RW.
A better player than Kakko this season and next plus you net an extra first. No long term contract risk for Tarasenko.
Rangers won’t want to pay Kakko the cap hit he can get elsewhere as a UFA.
Habs get a 1 year trial before signing.

This season yes, but next year and long term I see him on the wing for sure.

They need a RW next year since they have none….

Kakko will probably accept his QO of $2.4m so there’s no cap problem

For a “bust” you’re weirdly obsessed with acquiring Kakko
