Way too much

Based on Eichel trade
Barron >>>>>>>>>>>>> Krebs
First = first
Second = second
Harris > Tuch (but it’s actually pretty close)

Eichel >>>>>>>>>>> Zegras

Harris isnt better than Tuch.

He wont ever be better than Tuch.

Krebs is pretty garbage, Ill give you that much.

Maybe look outside the rose tinted glasses of Montreal. Not every prospect you own is the next Bobby Orr or Mario Lemieux

Tuch was basically a throw in in that trade. Cap casualty for a player who never lived up to his 52 pts season. He was close to being consider a cap dump. Harris was definitely more valuable than him

Habs are treating Harris like a 7th D swapping him in and out with Kovacevic/Xhekaj.

Harris has barely played 100 games, and will be 24 this year and hasnt shown much to be more than a #4 D.

Tuch since the trade has been one of the best players on Buffalo, and having a 50pt season prior to the trade showed promise to what he could be with better opportunity

Harris will be a #4 D at best, but that’s way better than Tuch’s value at the time of the trade. With insight, his 52 pts season look like what he will become, but at the time, it looked like a fluke. He wasn’t good the 2 seasons after and was paid 5m. That’s a cap dump

Underlying metrics were still in Tuchs favour.

At the time of the trade, I thought Tuch was the most valuable piece the Sabres got back

At the time of the trade, Tuch was considered a big cap dump. Good underlying number or not, he wasn’t good enough to justify 5m.

And now I'd argue its one of the best value contracts in the league.

Happy to see it work out for both teams.

Yeah he is now one of the best value contract in the league and Buffalo really had a tonof luck with him. What happened with Tuch was what was supposed to happen with us with Dvorak

I think the fluke was the first season of the new contract when he only got 17 in 42, the next season, however, although only getting 33pts he was on pace for 50pts, which is definitely not cap dump territory for a 4.75m contract, that was the year before the trade to BUF. Also he did that playing middle 6. 100% more valuable than Harris....and at that time the value of Krebs was not far off if not better than Barron's current value, obviously krebs' value has tanked, but I still don't believe your offer is similar to the eichel deal.

Monahan is on pace for 55 pts and he isn’t worth 5m. Tuch also played on a stacked team where all the top 9 were good players. He was probably worth just shy of a third round pick while Harris could easily fetch a late second.

At the time of the trade, Krebs was just a simple first round prospect. Barron is a young D that can easily play in the nhl and is 15 in his draft class for pts. Barron’s potential is way higher than Krebs’

Krebs was a project. Was an animal for the Winnipeg Ice, good work ethic, good raw skillset.

Barron was immediately given up on after a season with the Eagles. And now hes back in the A with Laval.

Hes also 21st in his draft class from a points perspective.

Probably another guy in Montreals system that pans out to be a bottom pair dude.

Monahan, however, was worth a 1st. So if that's the value the Sabres saw in Tuch, then they were happy.

I also think youre out to lunch if you think Harris nets a 2nd. He was drafted in the 3rd, is 24, doesnt have much to show at the NHL level, 7th D in the system, probably worth a 4th to most teams, given his ceiling isnt high

Harris could fetch a 2nd?

He skates like a toddler trying to hang onto the boards for support.

Then knocked himself out by running into the boards.

God I love MTL fans
