You were close for at least 4 trades, the last 2 are a no. Rein and Monty are going nowhere.

Is Monty that good to demand the equivalent of 2 first round picks? Nadeau's value has also increased since the draft.

Carolina’s first is worth more of a second if they get Monty

LOL how ironic. At least we’ve won one this century

Enjoy missing the playoffs again?

My question still stands, is he that much of an upgrade over Kochetkov to justify giving up our top forward prospect who he has been killing it in the NCAA and our top pick this year? I also don't think we can make a goalie move until Freddie's situation is more clear. If he does come back and we make this trade, we would have 3 NHL goalies under contract next year and none of them waiver exempt.

This has got to be a joke no? Savard is not worth a 1st, Pearson is a cap dump, Allen’s contract is too big and he’s not playing good at all he’s probably worth a low end pick with quite a bit of retention, Kovacevic is just not worth a 2nd, Montembeault is decent but is worth a low end 2nd but most likely a 3rd idk how you think you’re getting a top tier prospect and a 1st for him. Zegras is probably your closest trade.

Yeah he was ok until then, the Habs aren't trading Reinbacher 1 fo1 for Zegras they certainly aren't adding a top 1st round pick to it. And I love Monty and he isn't going anywhere but the Canes would easily decline that trade

That Zegras trade has the potential to have you (as GM) fired without question if Zegras doesn't perform and/or MTL doesn't make the playoffs. No GM would take that risk unless his job already depends on the return value of the trade.

I'm pretty sure Hughes would 100% trade Reinbacher for Zegras 1 for 1. Anaheim's asking price is a prospect like Reinbacher along with picks. Then again I don't know whether Anaheim's needs are at RD.

I don't think the first is necessary, though it as a pick swap with the third has the value of a second, for which I have previously proposed Reinbacher and a 2nd is the value for Zegras, so this is a trade we would accept.

Pretty sure you are dead wrong, that would be worse than Drouin for Sergachev.

Habs had the chance to draft a better forward in the draft and took Reinbacher, who they still feel will be a #1 D man, no way are they throwing that away for Zegras, especially considering they wouldn't trade Xhekaj for a 2nd line forward prospect who was a former 1st round pick as well.
