Have to think they shop for a goalie

Created by: alwaysnextyear
Team: 2023-24 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 9, 2024

Description
Kochetkov is locked up and playing decently lately, but you've got to think this team wants an upgrade at the position. It's really their only weak link from being a true Cup contender.

Thats an insane amount for a goalie, espeically Saros who has struggled this year.

It is an insane amount, and it might not cost that much to get him. But he's probably the best goalie option on the market if NSH made him available. Plus he's not a rental.

This is an ideal situation for NSH, IMO. It has the pieces that NSH is looking for as a potential return for Saros, being a potential top pair RD, a 1st & 2nd, plus a goalie to hold them over till Askarov is fully ready. If I was Trotz I'd take this deal.

It is probably a touch rich, but I feel like that is what it might take to get Saros from NSH.

The more i look into Morrow the more i like it. We need a 1st pairing potential RHD and a 1st line Center. Since the centers almost never come available, get the rhd via trade, suck and draft the center. This may be the way to go. The 2nd probably makes this excessive to be honest.... especially with how saros has played.

Saros .903 save percentage isn’t worth that much value.

Goalies aren’t worth that package anyways

No from Canes. Take out Morrow, and add in any other defense prospect except Nikishin. Canes will not move Morrow for a goalie, and Nikiskin is off limits.
