The PHI and ANA deals are laughably light. Frost is worth more than that, let alone PHI adds to that, and most ANA fans will say you're short a 2nd or more

Is Frost a Tortarella player now? He’s averaging 15min per game on the season, he’s marginally better than Evans but only because he can play the PP. Harris is an NHL D-man providing depth to a team going into the playoffs and still talking about trading out a defenceman.

Zegras’s value is about right. This trade would happen closer to the draft. His value is as a winger, he’s not an NHL center at this point (could improve his 3-zone value, but we’ll see). It’s a top 10 pick with a future top 9 center included who plays a defensively sound game. Buckle up because Zegras isn’t going to bring the haul that some people expect.

Frost is just under 2nd line minutes, after 20 games of in and out the lineup, hes well above the .5 pts a game, and while hes not a Torts guy hes worth far more than Evans, (you have him as the 2C above, Evans on a healthy MTL team is a 4C). And while I like Harris, Hes a 3rd pairing guy, who's not really a pt producer or crease clearer, and probably has the same problem in PHI as he does in MTL = hes not really the answer in MTL and surpassed by the plethora of defensive prospects they have and are on the way.

Ultimately Evans and Harris are roster fillers, bottom of lineup guys until somebody better/younger/cheaper comes along. Frost has shown last yr and this yr, hes a top 6 NHL forward.

ANd based on his development so far, Kaplan is probably worth more than Evans.

I’d rather stand in the crease when Lijegren is out there…

That's about all Savard is good for, hence why he's always there cross checking people. Utterly useless in every other way. Liljegren prevents you from having to stand in front of your net. Also funny you trade for Liljegren

The value isn’t bad, but he posted his 2 60 pt seasons as a center at 20 and 21 years old. To pretend he isn’t an NHL caliber C just doesn’t make sense. Leo and McTavish just forced him to the wing

so two 4th liners/13th fwds (which PHI has plenty of) for a 2/3C? And we add an ok prospect.

No.

I like Liljegren. Savard is going to help a team in the playoffs, the Habs aren’t that team. The Leafs are easy to play against in a 7 game series. They need more players that know what it takes to get it done.

Frost >>>>> Evans. Evans is a 4th liner that brings nothing else other than being a decent penalty killer and faceoff guy.

You’re asking for pick protection? Anaheim passes

This is incredible. Do really think anyone would do Macklin Celebrini for Trevor Zegras straight up?!?! Are you ok? Anybody would ask for pick protection. Don’t get to emotional about a player on your favorite team.

Sorry once again not close for Trevor Zegras, Pat Verbeek declines and will get better prospects than this.

Where are you coming from with this? We've been remarkably consistent about what it would take, and this is one of the options. MTLs 1st plus a beck level prospect, Reinbacher plus MTLs 25 2nd, or Slafkovsky straight up.

Only quibble here is that there's no protection because the trade is made while MTL is on the clock at the draft.

Macklin's not a generational talent, he barely would have cracked the top 5 last draft. Just because they go 1OA doesn't make them a superstar.

You aren't getting a better player who is 24 for a broken down old Savard

Question, have you watched Celebrini play a full game?
