Feel bad for bertuzzi. Wish he had more rebounds to clean up but these guys are always looking for cross crease passes. Its why we never have a net front presence. Would love to see him play with tavares and jarnkrok

I think I speak for everybody here in STL when I say that Army laughs and says hell no but not saying hell. A word that starts with an F. I don’t think he even accepts that even if he is blackout drunk.

If I were the St. Louis GM, I wouldn't entertain that offer for Parayko and his six-season term remaining alone.

Where in your mind does this make sense for the Blues?

Get younger, add a few prospects with Minten and the 1st, try to develop Liljegren into a top 4 D man, keep Bertuzzi for playoff run or flip him for a pick at the deadline. It's a good haul.

Why do you post this when you know it's beyond laughable? Seriously. I'm fascinated.

It's utter garbage for just one of those players you're asking for. You can keep Lily and Bert and all your amazing whatever and your wasted cap.

Why are the Blues the one selling here? They have more wins than the Leafs and tonight won't change that

The Blues are not getting relatively close to the playoffs if they move Parayko and Buchnevich flaw number 1.

Liljegren doesn't really profile as any more than a #4, we'd be effectively asking him to play 25 minutes a night on the top pair against the Mackinnon's, Matthew's, McDavid's of the league. Flaw #2.

Minten and a late 1st is great, but Minten would probably slide in at #6 on our prospect pool and 4 ahead are forwards.

This package is a package I would consider for Buchnevich alone at this trade deadline. If not no biggie, sell him for something similar at the next deadline.

Why would we rip apart our whole defense for nothing? Getting younger doesn't always equate to getting better. Especially when there's a close to 0 percent chance any of the youth will be as good as not one but two players we are sending the other way whom both have at least 4-5 good seasons left in them.

I don't think this trade package lands you neither of Buch nor Parayko, let alone both

Blues aren't retaining in this deal. That's a win for them. The Parayko contract looks great now, but it has six years left. He doesn't hold that much value. It won't look good three years from now.

Then they deal with it three years from now.

1. Cap goes up, meaning to get a top 1RD you'll be paying top dollar. 6.5mil will look like a steal if he keeps this play up
2. He isn't a physical player (as much as we would like him to be) meaning he should remain durable for a few years more than most
3. He's our number one shutdown d man. If we get rid of him, who takes that spot?

Besides, if it looks like such a bad contract that "won't look good three years from now", why is everyone wanting to trade for him? Clearly there is value and a desire for him

Don't know how many times that needs to be said before it finally gets into peoples' heads

His name has been in the rumour mill. That's why. Armstrong is an active GM. He was looking to trade Krug last year. He's not afraid to shake things up. If he's made available, and he has a full NMC, that will limit the return.

If the return is limited, why trade him? Logic makes zero sense

We attempted to trade Krug because Perunovich is needing the playing time and is basically the exact same player as Krug so he was expendable. Parayko is the only shut down defenseman capable of playing big minutes on this team that desperately needs defensive help.

We would be looking to add to the defense a defensive-minded player, not take away.

New rumor per Me: AM34 no longer wants to deal with a city with zero recent success and would prefer to go to the midwest and raise a farm with cows and pigs... and toasted ravs
