If devils have a replacement option for Marino perhaps…but the goal is to add to blueline, not subtract from it.

Isn't the plan for NJD top 4 RHD's to be Nemec and Hamilton, though? Wouldn't that make Marino expendable?

Right now it’s…(for next year)

Siegenthaler - Hamilton
Hughes - Marino
Bahl - Nemec

Need more than 4 dmen. If we are forcing guys depth guys into top minutes again next year, it won’t really matter who is in net. But if we signed another dman, maybe it would work.

Hamilton is injured right now.

Also Marino is still our shutdown guy and best penalty killer. We cannot afford to lose him
