I’d still be fine with that. I’m surprised you don’t have interest in Clarke. Guy has lit up the AHL and has really fallen victim to a crowded RW room in NJ. Think he could easily be a 3rd liner who gives you 15-20 goals a year

I don't see Toffoli as a fit for what EDM would want out of a top-6 W/F upgrade. I imagine they'd be looking for either a W with speed to play with Draisaitl (as that's who he thrives with) or a 3C that would allow McLeod to return to playing in the top-6. Even if Toffoli is a talented finisher and possession player, skating is his weakness and he's not an option at 3C.

Fair points but are you going to find a better player for only taking on 1.125m in cap. Between the retention and taking on Janmark, NJ is essentially paying 3.125 of the 4.25 Toffoli has on the cap

That might work for Hanifin, but it's not such a good offer that it'd be accepted now. It'd have to be much closer to the deadline.

I don't see Pat Verbeek retaining 3 x $1,500,000 on John Gibson for such a weak return. You'd need to offer way better than this.

Weak return? One of the best defense prospects in the league and a 1st rounder for a goalie that hasn't posted below a 3.00 GAA in 3 years. Believe me, Gibson isn't my first choice, but he's better than what we have and we'd be betting that his numbers would improve with a better team in front of him. I think this is more than fair for Gibson
