Brock Nelson is one of the most underrated players in the NHL.

Last thing Los Angeles needs is another center who would play 4th line for them at $3.75M.

Why would Buffalo give up a younger player entering their prime and pick?

Why would Buffalo give up a younger player entering their prime and pick?

We are the youngest team in the league and have waves of young forwards coming.

If we aren't going to sign mittelstadt long term, this makes sense.

It's not. Mitts has at the very least, the same value as Nelson. It's not like he's 20 years old and going to take time to reach his top level. He's already pretty much there and is one of the best forwards on the Sabres. Plus he's good for the locker room and team.
