Trade doesn't work for either team. Necas is a RW which Nashville does not need more of, and Carolina won't look to move him.

I'd do a potential Saros deal starting with Nadeau and a 1st

Marek had this trade chatter.. I’m just trying to see what it looks like. Canes can’t pay him and askarov is ready to roll.

Necas has played center before and just plays the wing in CAR. Nadeau is a good player but if we're trading Saros it'll be around a guy who is closer to the NHL

I will readily admit I'm higher on Necas than the average Canes fan, but trading him for a goalie for a season and a half doesn't make sense. Carolina doesn't put that level of value into the goaltending position.

Career 41% in the dot and considering Carolina needs a 2C you'd think he'd be playing there if he was a center

Perhaps why they can’t get over the jump

Goaltending has not been the issue in the postseason in the RBA era. Scoring has.

Anderson raanta Mrazek darling all have something in common.. (it’s health btw ) ward had a great season and they won the cup.. you don’t think that’s a big reason?

Just pointing out the fact that he did play C, didn't say it was where he thrived. Simply that's part of the thinking in suggesting Necas

Ward had a good playoff and they won the cup. Gerber was the stud that season. And you throwing out Darling, who played 8 games for the hurricanes under Rod makes no sense.

Should Carolina get a goalie to play in a tandem with Kochetkov, yes I think they should, but it wont be an expensive one. I like Saros, but the Canes aren't trading Necas for him.

Says who?

The Canes will have plenty of space to pay Necas if they want to retain him.

He doesn't play defense well and your not gonna play center in RBA system if you don't play good defense
