Initial Creation Date: Feb. 14, 2024

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
STL
  1. Abruzzese, Nick
  2. 2024 4th round pick (TOR)
2.
TOR
  1. 2024 1st round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Interested to here what CGY fans think. They flip the pick for a relatively young defenceman who isn't being utilized properly under Keefe's system.
CGY
  1. Liljegren, Timothy
  2. 2026 4th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
With the likely departures of Hanifin, Tanev, and Zadorov; adding Liljergren to the mix would help them in the now and in the long haul. Would get a lot more opportunity and CGY has a very stylistically similar D in Andersson who he can learn from
3.
TOR
  1. Eberle, Jordan ($2,750,000 retained)
  2. Larsson, Adam
SEA
  1. Akhtiamov, Artur
  2. Minten, Fraser
  3. 2024 3rd round pick (NYI)
4.
TOR
  1. 2024 5th round pick (COL)
5.
TOR
  1. Walker, Sean ($1,325,000 retained)
Additional Details:
They want a 1st but I think they likely get a 2nd + B level prospect. His play has also fell off a bit recently
PHI
  1. Lisowsky, Brandon [Reserve List]
  2. Niemelä, Topi
  3. 2026 3rd round pick (TOR)

Sundqvist's not getting a 1st lmao. He probably gets a 2nd if a team's desperate, a 3rd seems in the range of what he gets IMO

Conroy might take a second look at that, I haven't paid that much attention to Liljejgren, are you worried that there isn't enough in the piggy bank to sign him next year?

Can't speak for all Flames fans but I have zero interest in Liljegren. Last year was the year he was supposed to take a step up, didn't happen, then everyone said this is the year, and he's worse. Who says Keefes using him wrong, he's put up good numbers playing sheltered minutes on the 3rd pair, but hasn't looked good higher up in the lineup.

That and he will never reach his ceiling under Keefe's system. Keefe doesn't trust him enough and doesn't give him PP opportunities either. Also, Liljergren at times looks like a legit top-4 defenceman than vanishes for a little while. At this point, at may be best for both sides to look for a change of scenary

Sunny is probably not going anywhere, but if he does ask for a trade, that won't do it. Damn near every contender will want him because he does a lot of jobs for peanuts.

He's actually regressed as of late. He had a killer start to the year, looked like a legit T4 guy and has struggled as of late. Despite this, He is in the 97th percentile of defensive play, and is the only one on this blueline that can move the puck besides Reilly and McCabe. He has a few nights where he vanishes, but some of his struggles do come from 50% of his shifts being with Mark Giordano while also not being given consistent PP opportunity. With more opportunity and a new system, I think he can flourish

Leafs would consider that, but I think they'd pass for a cheaper option or stick with McMann or someone in the farm. Would rather try and keep Robertson. Young forward who comes cheap next year which is needed with the cap situation. The 2nd is intriguing though

I feel Liljegren is worth a late-2nd to mid-3rd at best right now

That offer for Walker is terrible.....1 okay prospect and a 3rd 2 years from now isn't going to cut it. Philly doesn't have to sell they will hold out till they get what they want or they will just keep the player.

Calgary laughs. Liljegren is worth a 3rd maybe a very late 2nd and that's about it.
