Mittelstadt is outscoring cozens by a pretty good margin this year. I get it though, cozens and Thompson are the guys we keep, Mittelstadt is the one I would move to address the trouble spots on the roster.

100% agree. Sabres need some grit too, they went to the net hard against a disinterested kings team yesterday, mostly they have lots of skill players that stay out of the kitchen.

The gm denied that mittelstadt is available, but really what's he supposed to say. I think it makes too much sense to move him IF they can get the right- right shot d. The Sabres can't move him for futures, has to help now. Plus- again, I'd keep cozens and Thompson, and add a defensive center to add to the mix. The Sabres have 4 first round forwards coming, all on elcs, that should help replace any offense that goes out. The Sabres don't have a gun to their head, mittelstadt has 2 rfa years left.
