Kings can't afford any more six-figure bottom six players. They're already paying their 3rd line in excess of $17M.

It’s not really that I think the kings will trade for him

    It’s just

    A random team I picked

The 3rd and 5th in return is more important to the trade than the team in this instance

That Sean Walker contract is scary for a guy who is having a career year later into his career.

A lot of these contracts are based of AFP anayltics. I tweaked a few to fit the cap, but the idea is still there. I do think Walker is a guy we target at the deadline this year. And come the offseason id rather pay him than Zadorov or Myers

Pettersson is not going to be signed for less than $12.5 mil/year on a 7-year deal. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $13-14 mil aav.

I don’t doubt it tbh. The pettersson contract is more wishful thinking+ the AFP anayltics projection. I hope we can get him at a cheaper price. It’ll help our team long term. If he wants the big bucks, we still have to give it to him, as he’s too important to the core

Call me crazy but I'd prefer a one year deal for Myers than term for Walker. But maybe it would be both (or a RHD given term + a vet like Myers getting a one year deal) until Willander, McWard, Woo, etc earn a spot.

Juulsen has no value to PHI and the 2nd is TWO drafts away, just not enough.

And MIkheyev is a tough move for any kind of value, he never plays a whole season, his career avg is about 50 games and 27 pts and he makes almost 5mil.

As much as I love petey..he is not worth more than the William Nylander contract. There is no way that he signs for anything above 12, especially you saying less than 12.5. Nate mackinnon is signed for 12.6 and is a hell or a lot better than petey, he's arguably one of the top 3 players in the league. Petey is nowhere near that..im figuring its gonna be either a short term deal again, in the range of 2 to 3 years at an AAV of around 9 to 10 M per..or if he decides he wants to sign long term, then it'll be more comparable to the Nylander deal. If we wants more than 12, then I think they look to trade him. Miller is playing better and more the style the canucks want, and they also have lindholm now, who I think would be open to resign in van and would likely come in around the 8 to 9 M mark.
