IF Trevor Zegras were on the market, and I don't believe for a minute that he is (in part because his trade value right now will never be lower), I would accept this offer as the Anaheim GM.

Hughes isn’t moving the 2024 1st before the lottery. Anaheim say yes before you even tell them about the 2025 1st

If I was the GM of the Habs I would only want to trade their 2024 first round pick for Zegras if they don't win the draft lottery (Celebrini) and if Demidov, Lindstrom, Eiserman and Catton are already gone when it is Montreal's turn to pick. I think Zegras is quite talented, but I honestly would prefer to go with one of those guys and develop them in the system over taking Zegras right now. That could blow up in my face, but that is just how I value Zegras.

It would be floridas 2025 pick from calgary . probably 20-30 range. If you want an impact 60pt Center now who has chemistry already with caufield i have no problem giving up a pick that may only turn into an impact nhler in 4 seasons
