Take out Mercer, DeBrusk, 2nd…build from there…it probably doesn’t get far, but Mercer is a core player here and we’d like to keep him.

That trade makes no sense to make at this point of the season. If Ullmark is being moved it's in the offseason.

Why not? Saves then a lot of money to upgrade at the deadline and doesn't make them any worse.
