Mtl 2nd is like a top 40 pick lol not every team is going to trade a 1st. Looking at the market he doesn't get it imo and probably gets around what cgy is asking for tanev ie 2nd and prospect or if a team (ex toronto that doesn't have a 2nd for awhile) they could get a 1st but a pick would be going back or more with vlad

This is roughly the same value. Appleton is a pretty decent player, I'd be tempted to take him and the 2nd over WPG's 1st

The average hockey fan doesn't have a good gage of 1st round picks value. We also often see people thinking all 1st round picks have equal value
