Flames are very clearly trying to get younger and get higher end talent in the pipeline. Jarnkrok with multiple years left is a zero in terms of fit and Timmins is on IR indefinitely.... again. When he's been in the lineup he's been replacement level at best. There's no fit whatsoever with this deal.

Calgary is waiting out on Tanev to see if they can get a first. Theyd have no interest in this kind of package imo

Reasonable enough cost for a depth wing who would fit with the Avs well imo and a back up G. Probably have to be someone like Kiviranta going back as well though because numbers of contracts add up.
