Nothing really enticing in here for the Islanders. The"prospect" hasn't scored an NHL goal in 11 months, a middle-6 forward making nearly $5M like Mikheyev is redundant on a team that's practically built out of middle-6 forwards making $5M, and the pick value is less than ideal - the 1st is a year away, they move up from the 3rd to the 2nd in 2026, and the only pick they get this year is a 6th rounder. No thanks.
