The CHI and COL trades seem reasonable, but I honestly think Brodie and Tanev is better than Ferraro and Tanev. I understand Brodie is having a down year but he is an integral part of defence and there would be no point in acquiring Tanev if we’re returning a top-4 DFD right back to them. I think just acquiring Tanev with retention for a 1st-rounder will be enough, maybe include Niemela if CGY doesn’t like it.

CGY not doing that trade anyway...Ferraro has term and I wouldn't say Brodie is better than Ferraro. ever

There is literally nothing out there that proves Ferraro is a better candidate; I truly don’t understand your obsession with him. His analytics aren’t good and even the basic old-head stats plus the eye test show he’s having a rough season. I don’t think he’s terrible but I don’t think he’s what Toronto needs in their top 4 right now.

I doubt Calgary gets a 1st.

If anything they get what Seattle got for Giordano.

Ferraro is stud that had bad stats due to his team.

He faces the toughest competition and has 80% D-zone stats.

You’ll his stats improve on a better team.

The reason I don’t want Brodie on the roster is that he isn’t a defender that helps the team playoff time. Name the last guy Brodie boxed out. He also has the least amount of hits on the backend.

Guys like Ferraro, Benoit, McCabe make the opponents life harder. Having more of those guys will help the leafs against teams like Boston and Florida

I get your reasoning and I understand Ferraro is on a bad SJ team but even his analytics prove that he has been struggling which is why SJ is playing poop right now. I don’t doubt he’ll bring in physicality and that he is a solid defender but I don’t know if he is what we need right now. Sure, Brodie isn’t physical but he’s always been able to defend in other ways and even come playoff time it’s important to have a solid mix of physicality but also legitimate defence (stick checking, safe plays, instincts, etc.) I genuinely believe there are better candidates for our Top-4 out there and if you disagree that’s fine.

Hawks decline, they already have had enough injury issues.

Timmins is made of glass and will be available on waivers for anyone who wants him sometime before the end of 2024.

Timmins rear quarter panel is rusted out, all the tires are bald, the trunk latch doesn't work and is being held down with a bungee strap, and he's burning oil. The best CHI can do for him is Future Considerations.
