Trading 10th pick to San Jose outright
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Bysedt is the target…Zetterlund was an additional “I like him too” addition. It was originally going to be our 1st for Bystedt and the 2nd we traded them in Timo trade.
Bystedt is big-body-soft-hands type who bullies his way to pucks around crease. Could evolve into 3C or winger higher up in lineup … and become PP net front option.</div></div>
You are going to have to overpay to obtain a drafted player that has shown an increase in value. No way you get Bystedt and a 2nd. Even if it theoretically works 'value' wise there is no reason for GMMG to do it unless a player at 10 is available that has more potential value than what Bystedt has shown. Not sure that exists besides Buium and he is likely top 5.

Trading 10th pick to San Jose outright
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgosharks</b></div><div>exactly well said, value is probably fine but neither team does it.</div></div>
What? At this point Bystedt is generally trending higher than his original draft position. Sharks might trade for the 10th, but it would be almost straight up for Bystedt with a later round pick added. People are fooled by so much media attention nowadays for incoming draft class that they are putting higher value on kids than they are. Beyond Celebrini and Demindov, its a crapshoot. Just like last year where it is a crapshoot beyond the 3.
NJD biggest issue is G, so I would imagine they make the move with the 10th for an established G.

I guess maybe it is light, but it would get it done. A very solid young D prospect and a 3rd...for buying out Campbell...Sharks need help reaching cap next few years.

And Tanev seems pointless here</div></div>
Yeah Tanev was stuck in there from an earlier version. He was just to help reach cap floor. Saros would be good, my G choices were sort of an after thought. There are 2 other 1st rounders in 2025 to use, just didn't want to make even more guesses on where the prospects line up.

don't see sharks trading him for just a late 2nd given he is the only veteran F right now that cares. If SJS parlayed one of their 2nd rounders + Grandlund into a 1st, then I think that would work.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Sturm wasn't very good for the Avs, is overpaid and the Avs can't afford a 4C at that price going forward. Just don't see the Avs having any interest in him. I'm also one of the ppl who believes it won't cost as much as some believe to move RyJo. KK will be a rental only for the Avs as they can't afford to re-sign him. Rather stand pat with RyJo than make this move. There's no money after to pay for a 2C which is the most important position of need for the Avs. Just a bad idea for them.</div></div>
Rylo is a cap dump with an extra year, will cost a 2nd or 3rd depending on if they find a good deal. COL isn't winning this year with Rylo at 2C....maybe Landeskog comes back at takes the 2C in the playoffs, but you are still royally F'ed next year. Rylo will have to get dumped and one of the Dmen will have to get traded.

Disagree strongly, he is a #6/7 on a decent team. And yes, I watch every game....horrifying at it is this year. He was a waivers claim and is RFA, so he has basically no value but a late round pick, which isn't worth it. Might as well see how he develops.

what is this garbage trade to SJS? You will get future considerations based on what you are sending to dump Campbell. No amount of, "oh he is playing better now at Bakersfield", translate to not be a cap dump.

Trades with ideal playoff lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kash</b></div><div>The CHI and COL trades seem reasonable, but I honestly think Brodie and Tanev is better than Ferraro and Tanev. I understand Brodie is having a down year but he is an integral part of defence and there would be no point in acquiring Tanev if we’re returning a top-4 DFD right back to them. I think just acquiring Tanev with retention for a 1st-rounder will be enough, maybe include Niemela if CGY doesn’t like it.</div></div>
CGY not doing that trade anyway...Ferraro has term and I wouldn't say Brodie is better than Ferraro. ever

Sharks pass, basically no upside. even if you take the 2nd out, a late first not worth a ton and Boquist is eh. Ferraro is within age bracket for sharks rebuild and a decent 2 pairing guy when (currently playing top pairing and he isn't one). If you include Jirieck then we can talk more.
