Personally, I think Holloway is going to turn into a bust.

At this point, he's just a 4th line meat shield or another Parker Kelly.

#3 or 4 seem likely from Edmonton's perspective. They won't trade a 1st.

Foegele won't be coming back either. He has 24 points at 5v5 this year, Tarasenko has 25. Wouldn't be much of an "add" if they sent Foegele out.

They should be able to get a third team to retain another $1.25M for like a 5th, so no need to send a roster player back.

Holloway is 22.. he’s got plenty of time for his game to adjust to the nhl. Akey and a 2nd is worth more then a late first lol so no. Vlads ntc kinda puts the ball in him court, return won’t be as high as you hope.

If Parker Kelly is available too, I would want him too.
To Edmonton: Tarasenko 50% salary retained and Parker Kelly
To Ottawa: Warren Foegele, 2024 1st, 2025 3rd

No, absolutely not.

Foegele has 24 points at 5v5 this year, Tarasenko has 25. Wouldn't be much of an "add" if they included Foegele.

The 1st is more than Edmonton would pay for Tarasenko, and the 3rd is more than Kelly is worth.

The guy literally proposed that he'd move Tarasenko for two 2nds, you're massively upping the cost just to add Parker Kelly.

SMH.

Not trying to defend every detail of that proposal, but Tarasenko has been playing almost exclusively 3rd line this year, with a not-overly-interested-looking Kubalik for much of the year - and there's a cost for $2.5M in salary retention (Sens only have 2 salary retention slots available)

Nonsense.

Tarasenko's most common center is Tim Stutzle. He has played less than 15% of his TOI with Kubalik.

Why would you lie about information that is publicly available? It doesn't add any value to the conversation.

I admit I don't watch every game - that really surprises me. It's been Joseph-Stutzle-Giroux for most of the time that Martin has been coaching, and Tarasenko was playing with Grieg in the fall. Tarasenko & Stutzle did play together for a bit - but that was when everyone in r/OttawaSenators was down on Stutzle as not living up to his contract - trade the bum.
