Basically a 1st, 2nd, and 7th for Tanev w/out retention? That seems steep to say the least.

TB doesn't need the retention they have 8+ million cap space. Replace Gauthier with Howard or Duke and probably but no thanks with Gauthier

So what your saying is unretained Tanev is worth more then retained Hanifin? Pure craziness.

Leafs have to pay more because "it's the Leafs" I guess - no other logical explanation.

Idk who told you that but you’re wrong, they also get little to no cap space in this deal anyway, I rather waive Gregor & Timmins to move Brodie 50% for a 2nd (to counteract that 1st leaving) then get Tanev

That makes the most logical sense for a GM
