That's a seriously low return for Marky. Would 100% keep him if that's all we're getting in return.

I say this as a bruins fan, but Lohrei+Merkulov probably doesn't get Hanifin on their own, and it certainly doesn't warrant a good pick coming back with him.

It would be at the high end of the goalie market.

Especially the 34 year old 6 million dollar goalie market

I'd honestly say that I believe it's a fair price for Loh and Merk, yeah they aren't full time NHL players yet but once they become full time, they'd be great, then Hanny would also bloom even more if you put someone like Carlo next to him

A possible top 15 pick for a starting goalie, yeah, I think a pick between 10 and 15 would be a good price to pay for an aging goaltender who is still good, but only good on a good team if you know what I mean

You think that a team that's top 12 in GF with one of the worst save percentages in the league hangs around pick 10-15 when they add a goalie with top 3 analytics this season?? That's really short sighted. Calgary has no incentive to move Markstrom right now, unless incentive is created by another team blowing them away with a deal he will just remain a Flames.

Awful return for Markstrom. Never going to happen

Why are the Flames moving a 1st WITH Hanifin?

Man these are bad for CGY

No it wouldn't lol. The Flames are taking back Vitek who has another year left. That's worth a pick alone. Getting only a 1st for a Vezina contender is a horrendous return

That might be the most ridiculous Noah to Boston trade I have seen yet, and i have seen plenty.

Noah retained is worth more than Lohrei & Merk as it is, so why is Calgary paying a 1st too? 🤯

Vezina contender? ratings below as of 1/18. i don't see any votes. It's like CGY asking for a 3rd for Vladar when you guys only gave the B's a 5th when he was twice as valuable

Voting totals (points awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis): Connor Hellebuyck, Jets, 69 points (11 first-place votes); Thatcher Demko, Canucks, 53 (1 first-place vote); Cam Talbot, Kings, 42 (3 first-place votes); Sergei Bobrovsky, Florida Panthers, 25; Jeremy Swayman, Boston Bruins, 12; Connor Ingram, Arizona Coyotes, 7; Adin Hill, Vegas Golden Knights, 3; Joey Daccord, Seattle Kraken, 3; Juuse Saros, Nashville Predators, 3; Igor Shesterkin, Rangers, 2; Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders, 2: Carter Hart, Philadelphia Flyers, 1; Jonathan Quick, Rangers, 1; Linus Ullmark, Bruins, 1; Jake Oettinger, Dallas Stars, 1

Fleury got traded for FC coming off a Vezina win.

Lehner got traded for a 2nd coming off a 3rd place finish

What in the world are these random pointless voting totals? Markstrom is literally second league wide for GSAx and first for HDSV%. You're nuts my friend

Yes Vegas offloading Fleury for nothing to save money, a move in which everyone criticized is definitely a good comparable.

If Vegas could have gotten more they’d have gotten more
