The Hawk trade is creative but that’s not how a cap dump works 😂

The CHI deal is very chaotic but I think CHI says no.

Timmins isn't a cap dump. He would get claimed by a team, I am quite sure. He doesn't have much value though. MAYBE a 5th?

Ultimately 3 x 2nds for a 1st and 2 x 4ths. Let's say Timmins and the 7th cancel each other out.

As a Leafs fan I would do it. And I would not do the Seattle trade. I would just do 2nd + Timmins for Tanev with Calgary. And then I would keep the extra 2nd's and call it a day.

We better be keeping Holmberg also.

I would accept that Chicago deal (from the Leafs side of things). Not sure how Chicago feels. At least it's the later 2nd round pick this year.

I would only do this from the Leafs side, if Calgary agreed to a 2nd + Timmins or something on those lines for Tanev. I wouldn't be trading Holmberg though and I don't think we need Seattle Tanev.

Dude you have a team that can win the cup with a goalie. Offer the world for Sarros

We need a high end defensive minded RD to fill out our d group. I am very happy running with Woll and Sammy. I like Woll ALOT.

Chicago likely takes that. None of those are the Chicago 2nd.

If you look at trade backs from a late 1st it's normally for an early + mid 2nd or two early 2nds.

Doing it for 3 late 2nds + 2 4ths and Timmins is actually a good deal.

Just looked up on the Athletic's draft pick value chart and this trade pretty significantly favours Chicago. By about the equivalent of a late 3rd.

Not sure Chicago trades 3 2nds for a late 1st. Seems like a lot to take on a $1.4M cap hit. They can just sign a free agent. Timmins isn't that special.

So remove Timmins and the 4th going to Chicago and the 7th going to Toronto?

They are 3 x late seconds also, which matters.

If it was Chicago's 2nd you'd be right but it's Vancouver, Dallas, Toronto.

Hawks probably accept. The Hawks are open to swapping multiple picks to move up in the draft and the swap of picks seems about right. Leave Timmins in or take him out. Won't matter to the Hawks.

Something along those lines might be interesting to CHI, but as it stands I doubt CHI accepts.
