W/ Retention I would price Murphy at about a 1st rounder + a decent prospect?

Only way Pesce is available would be if you are able to agree to an extension, give a return high enough to support the move, and the Canes are able to find a suitable replacement…

A lot of moving parts here. Mainly the fact that Pesce would be very unlikely to waive an NTC or sign an extension in Toronto.

Your best bet to get Matt Roy is probably to trade for his signing rights at the draft.

It’s incredibly unlikely that Pesce is on the table, but if he was he isn’t waiving or willing to sign an extension in a Canadian market. If a team is able to get past all that, 2 other moving parts would have to be settled before Pesce is moved, those being an acceptable return and a replacement being acquired, not necessarily from the same team.

With how the Canes current roster is structured, Pesce is too important to move.

I don't like any of the rumored rental players this spring to trade away a 1st Rd pick, I say be smarter and more selective and trade a 3rd Rd pick to pick up guy like L. Schenn was traded for last year.

TOR has nowhere near the picks or pieces it would take to acquire Weegar, let alone Andersson

Tanev is the only D-Man TOR can bid on and the price is already established and it starts with a 1st Round Pick
