The 2019 first-round pick has all the tools to be an impact defenseman. He is an excellent skater who can be used in all situations and can create plays because of his good hockey sense and vision on the ice. Does not play much of a physical game despite his ample size, and he still has a lot of work to do to improve his play in the defensive zone. Struggles sometimes between being too aggressive and too passive.

A lot of people seem to think he was sent down earlier in the season because he isn’t part of the long term plan, I believe the org. saw a lot more potential in him than a 3rd pairing bruiser and are doing everything they can to develop his game so that he is part of the long term plan.
