Add a 1st. Maybe. 3 nothings for AH with retention is not cutting it.

The Ducks trade is just silly.

Matt Grzelcyk is an (1) undersized (2) UFA (3) LhD, so he would be declined on any one of those defects. Mast is a throw-in and the future third is an afterthought. The forward with 50% retention you'd get from us for that package is Jakob Silfverberg, not Adam Henrique.

Zero interest in Silfververg and the original deal is ridiculous for the Ducks,

Part of me has wondered if a Lybushkin and Ian Moore deal might make sense. I certainly am not including any of my top 3, but there could be an interesting discussion.

I think I’ve told you or other Duck fans in the past that I think he’s the next Harvard kid who chooses to find a better depth situation

Circumstances are different than with Thrun, Anaheim comparatively week on the right side, he might stick around. Hard to say though.

I’m expecting Anaheim to use a high pick on another D. I think that was the driver of the Gauthier swap. This draft points to it unless a specific forward drops.

Either way, Moore is incented to wait as long as possible to sign and get that Harvard degree. His coach is an ex NHL type that knows the business. I believe they are coached to choose the best developmental situation for them and the numbers the Ducks have on the backend is a pretty strong case against them.

I would move Moore if I was in Verbeek's shoes. I don't think he'll sign with the Ducks so they might as well get *something* for him.
