Why are the Canes trading for a 4th or 5th goalie?

Fabbro isn't what the leafs need. No sense in moving that much for him.

Because for some reason they traded away Alex Nedeljkovic and one young Russian, entertaining though he may be, and two broken down vets, is not going to get you far. Lanky is good, solid, dependable. He just hasn't played much this year.

Your defence is one hard check away for Fabbro being JUST what you need. Playoff are bruising, ( coughs ) when you go deep. That is the plan right?

Giving up what is in my eyes our top prospect for a 7th Dman just isn't smart management. Leafs need a partner for Rielly and fabbro isn't it.

Neither Ned nor ‘Lanky’ are answers to the goal tending problem. Canes pass

yeah, because the Canes need a 5th goalie that is no better than at least 2 of their current ones.
