Its possible. But he's an RFA and wont go to a team for that price. Canucks are in their window and will want an impact player as part of the package coming back the other way. Lots of other teams in the league with better assets. But keep fantasizing, I'm sure that will help.

This team is pretty nasty but I can't see the Kings accepting that. Too much. Also I agree with whoever said that VAN will be looking for NHL ready help, not primarily just draft picks....

So Vancouver goes from cup contender to rebuild that quickly? I doubt it.

If EP40 doesn't sign in Van it'll be because he wants a lot more than 12. 14-15 would be the ask.

i agree that this trade isn't realistic, but you kinda glossed over the most valuable thing coming from boston.

Literally everything that's been put out there so far is that money isn't the reason he hasn't signed...

I think Poitras being the most valuable thing coming from Boston kind highlights how much the trade is lacking lol.

teenagers that have proven they can play center in the NHL are pretty rare. I think it's more highlighting people not knowing who poitras is.

If Petterson is traded, it will be with multiple top 5 pick caliber players going Vancouver’s way. Boston isn’t a consideration unless McAvoy is being included and he isn’t being included

I don’t see why Vancouver even remotely considers trading him. The team is good. The city is wonderful. Him not signing is probably waiting for comparables he thinks are going to up the dollar figure

I know exactly who Poitras is.

Great prospect... He's got a long way to go from being a sub-half PPG player on one of the top teams in the league to be the centerpiece of a trade for Pettersson.

Isles accept, maybe downgrade the pick to a 4th

And Canucks block your number. The canucks at the very least would want Lysell and Carlo

I mean, Vancouver wont trade him if he's willing to sign.

All I’m saying is that Vancouver is one of the better situations in the league. If he’s unwilling to sign after more comparables are put up, I’d be surprised

not a prospect - NHL player. and that's the difference. playing center for the bruins is a pretty tall order, especially for a teenager. tyler seguin couldn't handle it, they had to shift him to wing. a teenager that can play center at the NHL level responsibly is incredible rare. not many of them out there.

Don't really give a **** whether you want to call a kid with 33 games a prospect or an NHL player.

He's not cutting it as the centerpiece for a Pettersson trade lol.

you may have noticed that i said exactly that in my original post.

but ya, he's an NHL player. if he wasn't, do you think boston would have burned a year off his ELC, or just sent him back to junior? it's a bummer he needed the shoulder surgery so he couldn't get a full season in. Slapping the, "sub half point per game player," label on him and just moving on from there is very overly simplistic.

Not sure why you assume I read your original post considering I quoted the one about Poitras being the centerpiece.

Vancouver wouldn't move him for that, you'd need McAvoy in a deal for Pettersson

You could also say that nothing has ever been reported to suggest he wants to leave either other than him saying he wants to win. We we are currently 1st in the league.
