We’ve been looking for a bonafide top 4 dman for years, why would we trade him when we finally got one? Yes it’s a great return but still doesn’t make sense for us

If NJD wanted or needed Hronek we'd have bought him from detroit for less than this last year. Also we already have 3 quality RD for next year

Holtz is really good, especially considering his ice time this year he’s producing really well

That 1st is a potential lottery 1st

It’s very close to what we paid for Hronek with a potential top 6 winger added on top

Devils decline. Not worth it for a rental and an extension would be difficult given that a goalie is the biggest need.

Why would Vancouver do this? I mean value is fair but no reason for them to do this

Just the thought that Hughes can elevate anyone. I'd like to see Soucy Hronek become a pair eventually.

There’s nothing there that makes the caps consider trading a top 4 defenseman and a sub $2M middle six winger… like that package wouldn’t get one of them let alone both.

I still wince at the idea the Canucks wouldn't part with Jack Rathbone and a third for Marino.....
