I think the Leafs should look to move one of the forwards that Keefe won't play (most likely Gregor as he could probably net something, like a 4rth or 5th but still better than nothing)

Gregor dont got much value and were seeing guys like him end up on waivers and sent down

Look at Boulet, MacDonald, Sanford, etc

If he gets claimed would be very surprised

Leafs should look to see if a team wants him and if they'd give up assets for him as like you said, they can find another version of Gregor in UFA

As said before look at the guys above same production and all ended up waived. U wont get much if anything

Look at Timmins last year though, a 5th for him...

Timmins was traded for Curtis Douglas (AHL player) what 5th are we talking about.....

The reason ARI had to take the trade was cause they risked losing him for nothing on waivers so made a desperation trade

If we move Gregor its either for FC, a worse player (AHL guy), or hes waived

U get an RFA 24 year old penalty killing bottom 6 guy and a 6'3 over 200 pound top 4 RD who should pair nicely with Rielly and has another year


But if we go by one team standard then the forwards probs gonna be one of: Tatar, Wennberg, PEB, or Yamamoto

There are 2 teams that can afford to trade for Auston Matthews: Edmonton and Colorado

maybe McDavid+Draisaitl or Mackinnon+Makar

Ok come now let’s not get delusional here, first of all Matthews isn’t going anywhere, but if he were to get traded, either one of Mack or Davo is going to be enough on their own.

If McDavid wants to join the crew, he can in 3 years, and I can tell you Matthews isn't leaving Toronto for Edmonton...

And Draisaitl is worse offensively, way worse defensively version so they'd need to be way more added onto him

I think my main interest on D would be Oleksiak, if available. I think he's a better target than the reportedly available RD's. Three playoffs left, huge and rangy, good defensively and can play both sides. I'd be more than happy to play him with Rielly this year and then move him over when Brodie's gone next year and revisit the right side then.
