My Top 25 Wingers Broken Down By LW and RW

Description
Even though Rantanen has played a lot of center I’m still calling him a winger as he’s been one most of his career. Barzal for this season has operated almost exclusively as a RW, so I’m counting him. I didn’t count Reinhart, RNH, and others who take a ton of faceoffs even though they operate as wingers.

My basis is from 2021 to present.

Guys like Huberdeau and Ovechkin don’t belong here anymore. Arguably Kane (although he’s been great this season) and Gaudreau as well

As much as I hate him as a player Marchand has to be here

Kane and no Cat?

I very much question Huberdeau as a top 25 winger when he's yet to crack double digit goals this year.

Same with Ovi who's incredibly washed at this point in his career

I took out Huberdeau because I forgot Marchand. Ovi will be off it this team next year I’m sure.

I can’t justify putting Cat ahead of almost any of the else guys.

If based on this year, Ovi over Hagel or Kreider is a bold take. At this stage I’d go for Konecny over Kane as well. Overall, solid list.

It’s based on 2021 to current, with a bit more emphasis on this year. Konecny just hasn’t done it long enough to crack that list. By this team next season if he is still playing this well I can see him on it. Kreider had the monster 50 goal season 2 years ago but by and large he’s having his normal season right now. He’s in that next level right below these guys. Hagel is a very good shooter and I like him but not at this level. I feel bad leaving off a guy like Ehlers who’s so well rounded or a sniper like Cat but those guys just aren’t quite there. Ovi will likely be off by this time next season and the same can be said of a guy like Johnny Hockey or maybe even Kane.

Ah it’s a greater than 1 year look. So in this case is Stamkos viewed as a center?

Yep those guys are tweeners to me. If you’re taking a few hundred face offs I can’t call you a proper winger.

Sorry, but whenever I see Keller rated waaay higher than Buch (which happens like daily), it makes me think they don't really watch either play very much.
