We can afford Necas without an issue. We have 30 million in space. We can bridge Jarvis if needed.

He's already been bridged once and has arbitration rights, if he matches last seasons points output he's going to get a pretty penny one way or another.

"Can afford" and "want to pay" are two very different things.

For a team trying to win, we can easily do an arbitration deal for 1 year to kick the can down the road instead of selling for futures. Would make more sense to do that anyways

The report I read said "Canes could be willing to listen to offers on Necas." which is a whole lot of nothing, it's like when reporters said Verbeek was listening to offers for Zegras.

Like, of course the GM is going to listen to offers for their good young players - That's their job. It doesn't mean that those players are actually on the block or even available.

If true, it absolutely means he's available. You don't hear of Edmonton "willing to listen to offers" on Connor McDavid, or of Chicago "willing to listen to offers" on Connor Bedard.
