Toronto really doesn't have what it'd take to get Andersson. Late picks + meh prospects won't get done. Toronto has two players Calgary would trade Andersson+ for but Toronto won't trade either one and they both have full NMCs they wouldn't waive anyhow.

yea no c'mon now lol, two firsts and cowan is a very fair offer. i get it if calgary just isn't interested in trading andersson whatsoever, but i don't know what team you think would offer a better package than that IF the flames were looking to move him

The Flames AREN'T looking to move him and it'll take quality to get him not quantity. Late 1sts and decent prospects might get you a top 4 defender but it won't be a 1st pairing two way right shot RD on a great contract for 2 more years.. That'll take a least one high quality asset, an A+ prospect or a high 1st and unless it's a top 3 pick or an elite prospect it'll take more than that.

that's what i just said, the flames aren't looking to move him and so they won't lol. but my point was i highly doubt a better offer than that would be out there in the event they were. the devils don't need andersson and certainly wouldn't move nemec for him, and any team bad enough to have a top 10 pick wouldn't be looking to move it for andersson, he's a great defenseman but not nearly good enough to turn a basement-dweller into a cup contender on his own
