Eichel is the pretty direct comp for any EP trade.
Both elite centers but both had “baggage”:

Both wanted out (EP hypothetically/reported)
Eichel injury but had 6yr contract certainty at 10, EP you have to pay 13+….

The price is going to be around a 1st, a young top6/top4 with contract control, an A prospect and a depth pick/B prospect.

Realistic Sabres comp trade is their first this year (8-12th ish), Mittelstadt (with extension), Savoie, and a 2
I think Van fights (and maybe gets) Cozens instead of Mitts

Definitely a bit rich. I’d think a better proposal would be Mittelstadt, Samuelsson, Savoie, Ostlund and the 2024 1st. Nets you 2 solid nhlers, 2 good prospects and a top 10 (likely) pick. Can’t really ask for much more and not sure many teams could outbid Buffalo.
