petterssib contract will be a lot bigger, and the value coming back to van is quite off here

I would highly disagree if you are looking at Tkachuk's trade. TK, Bonk, and 2/3 Center in Frost PLUS a top 20 pick... Flyers are out if its anymore. Also taking on Garland's contract.

You lost me with Jordan Weal. He wasn’t good enough to play in the league when he was in his prime and now he’s old. Having mild success in other leagues doesn’t mean he has all of a sudden turned a corner. And even if he did, he has no business being the 3c for a rebuilding team.

garland is not a cap dump lol hes one of vancouvers best players. i wouldnt trade garland for bonk one for one. TK is very good but there is a big difference between adn all situations winger that scores at a 70 point pace vs an all situations centre that scores at a 100 point pace. frost and a 1st dont come close to covering that gap.

tkachuk was traded for a top pairing defenceman, a 116 point winger, a 1st, and a rpospect. you would have to upgrade frost to a much better player in this trade and remove garland to make it worth vanocuvers while

      Garland isn’t a negative asset

I mean...wouldn't that make him perfect for a rebuilding team that SEEMINGLY CANNOT REBUILD PROPERLY.

Eh I guess you're right. You can take Garland; I was just trying to add to the benefits. I imagine the Flyers only really have TK, Tippett, Bonk and picks that are appeasing. Guess we are out.

You mean the Connor Garland who still has 2 years at a 5mm cap hit who is putting up under .5/pts per game? That Connor Garland? Is he a positive asset?

Even though his points are down he’s actually been one of or best players this season. He’s the main reason that the 3rd line of Joshua-Blueger-himself has been one of the best lines in the league from an xGF% standpoint. He’s a great play driver, and he’s good defensively. He’s been a crucial part of our success this season

So yes, he is a positive asset

he has been like that for what, 20 games this year? Believe me, if VAN could get out of that contract, they would.

He’s been that good all season actually if you’ve watched the Canucks

I guess if they were rebuilding properly that makes sense to get bad players to bottom out but thats clearly not what the flyers are doing. They want to let the kids play.
