I don't see why the Blues would do that.

Blues can't make this work with cap structure. I also personally would not trade Kyrou to in division Jets without getting back McGroarty which you are not going to do.

Blues can't afford that at the deadline. And Kyrou most likely isn't waiving for Winnipeg once his trade clause kicks in. I also don't really see a benefit for the Blues to do it with the pieces currently proposed.

I hear all of you. My thought was both Ehlers and Kyrou and basically the same player and could possibly both use a new start. Kyrou being signed has extra value which is why i added a high prospect to the group. Schmidt was added to assist with the cap for Winnipeg. St Louis if they wanted could flip him or another Dman and utilize him.

Could probably keep Monahan at a reasonable term and cap hit, let him be the 2c backup if the rookie doesn't work out this year (just like Namestnikov was this year).

Instead of trading Ehlers why don’t we just give him the ice time he’s deserved for the past 3 seasons and he’ll probably re-sign. He seems to like it in Winnipeg.

Honestly makes very little sense from a blues perspective. Ehlers is 28 and only signed for 2 more years. He's gonna get a new contract. Schmidt is 32 so makes no sense for a team that is overachieving right now and doing a retool around their younger players. Kyrou most likely won't be traded and the only rumors stem from our blues reporter (he has a vendetta against Kyrou and was responsible for the fan backlash against him). If Kyrou is traded it will be for a player the same age and not older players

Blues accept that in a heartbeat but unfortunately the cap era sucks.

Minnesota isn't buying. Guerin hasn't used a 2nd at the deadline when the team was actually good. Not sure why he would when we've sucked for large portions of the year and have a good shot of missing the playoffs.
